COMMENT POLICY

Comments from readers of ACSOL are welcome and encouraged and may include divergent viewpoints provided that they are constructive.

All that is asked of you is that civility and maturity be paramount and that profanity not be used.

Do understand, please, that commenting here is a privilege provided by the owner of this site, not a right. Understand, too, that each blogger has his/her own standards and that this blog is not an “anything goes” public forum.

Indeed, Bernard retains the right to moderate all Comments at his site to ensure a constructive exchange of ideas.

Profane, harsh, or threatening language – any form of “flaming” — will not be permitted, nor will Comments that include racially offensive or otherwise unlawful or objectionable material that is designed to offend people, rather than elucidate or amplify a point of view.

Simply put, speak to the issue(s) or argument(s) in my posts (or those I link to) and avoid distasteful, ad hominem attacks on the author.

Comments must be in English.

No spamming, advertising, or off-topic material is permitted, or use of oversized-fonts. Trolls will be banned and not necessarily with a first warning.

In writing and posting a Comment to ACSOL, take the view that you’re writing a “Letter To The Editor” of a newspaper or magazine – put your best argument and best foot forward.

Thanks!
